We as family like the home schooling idea, yet we also think is okay to face real world because its cruel but that is reality.
My niece and nephew are being home schooled, but this year family or well said, their parents have decided to send my niece to public school (since she is the older at the moment) , we are touched emotionally because she has been well raised with morals and stuff, she does interact with kids but she also needs to get out there with all other kind of kids. In other words she will need to learn how to survive and not always be the queen. We are sad because it will be hard for her to leave her regular friends and join a complite different enviroment, but we are also glad because is something that she will need to face in order to grow and be more autonomous.
She will need to carry her food, serve herself, fight for herself and that is the entire purpose.
IDK what opinions you have about home schooling or public schooling and you can post it here, but I just wanted to share.

Home schooled kids lost a large chunk of their growth and development. Public school provides necessary social stimulation, and it teaches you the basics of human interaction. You learn to make friends but also deal with those people that you absolutely hate. It's basic social discipline, and public school is a disciplinary booster shot for the "real world."
Public schools are where it's at.
You'll never learn how to knife fight like that at home.
^ lol
If you begin with good morals, public school should not change the course of that. Things will changes but they will be better for it.
As for homeschooling, I find, the kids I deal with that are home schooled have REAL difficulties socializing and are a bit stunted when it comes to dealing with their peers.
Look at it this way: They don't learn how to interact with other their age of different backgrounds, they don't learn how to react to difficult situtations (peer pressure, fights, etc, and don't be naive to think this won't occur).
Overall I think homeschooling if fine educationally, but I would advise if you want that, send them to a private school.
^ I see, well actually my niece and nephew have a little variation in their home schooling, they also interact kids they are not complitely alone, yet what you say is very important and I will highlight it "with other their age of different backgrounds". Lets start with praying before eating, she likes to lead it all the kids around her by now do pray before eating, this will be complitely different at school were we were told already that she can't do that, so it will be more of our work at this point to teach her to keep the custom but she needs to respect other "laws" well she will not understand that but she will later, is part of the process lol
She has the legal right to pray, the school does not have the right to force, suggest, or lead prayer.
Send her to Catholic School, they pray all the time.
I've been in a public school all my life. The very thought of being home schooled is mortifying to me.
I mean, if I was home schooled I would miss so many great experinces. I wouldn't get to know that im a decent actor or that I can lead teams well and stuff.
Not only that, but being in a public school lets me get to know the world better. There are plenty of kids who try and take advantage of you. I can recognize them now, but i think if I got home schooled I might have ended up as a sucker for anything.
You can always give them moral education at home. My school (like any other school) has loads of perverts, but I'm not affected by them. Depends on how you react to the situation.
Chatolic school? no way lol well we could always put her in a christian school like you say but again, we want her to grow mature around regular people, to teach her that things are not always going to be her way and to realize that she is our little girl for us but not for the entire world, the worst lie that a parent can say to their kids is "you are THE best" then they think so and crash when they realize that is not true at all out there.
