What is happening to free speech in this country?

Yes, the Andrew Meyer was resisting, and a bit of an idiot, but why did they suddenly attack him after mention Skull and Bones?

Too it is refreshing to see someone doing this to someone other than a Republican.

I am Malach, and next time I do something like this, I will make sure I have to take a shit, that'll teach 'em. Don't Tase me Bro.

Don't Can Taser Me Bro!

What's funnier is whoever it was at the podium say, "Wait. Let me answer his question." Yet they still tried to take his ass away.

That is an attractive young man.

What did he do?

He resisted arrest. He's lucky he was in a forum where everyone was watching and videotape was rolling. Otherwise it could have been much worse.

Not that I think he should have been arrested, all he did was ask a question. But once you're escorted by a police officer(s), flailing your arms around and acing like an idiot while attempting to incite others is a good way to go from escorted to arrested.

Had he just gone with it he would have, at the very most, been ejected from the venue. The cops weren't being assholes; they were just detaining one.

He seemed to have gotten in trouble for not giving up the mic. He asked one question, then another, then another with increasing volume. He seemed to have been trying to be a belligerent dick, and the cops looked as if they were trying to keep him from hogging the mic any longer. Instead, he hopped right back into place and this whole thing happened.

Oh, yeah, and in case you're on the other side of this issue, I will include a phrase that you can also get behind:

FUCK THE POLICE!

Everyone happy? Right, then. Carry on.

Wow. Now it's okay to taser people in a public forum for being assholes?

I'm getting a taser.

No, it's ok to taser people who resist arrest. That's what tasers are for. They're nicer than billy clubs and they leave less of a mark.

I defend his right to be an asshole. I also defend the rights of the police to remove him for being an asshole. I don't defend his rights to resist arrest by flailing around and trying to incite others.

He didn't get tasered for what he said. He got tasered because he wouldn't leave when escorted by cops. In my book that's resisting arrest, whether or not you believe he should have been removed in the first place.
